The Outsiders By SE Hinton
The Outsiders tells and describes the life of young boys, who don't completely fit in with the rest of society. SE Hinton describes the harshness of gang violence and the fact that life wasn't always how you lay it out to be. He shows, through Ponyboy, the main character, and the other boys and girls in this story, that people seperated by social status causes nothing but hate, anger and grieve toward one another. Eventually, as portrayed in this story, the hate can be take to far and quickly become a regret that will stick with you for a life time. When Ponyboy goes through his life time regret, we follow him through his story of trying to escape from his old life and start anew. Due to its lessons, The Outsiders is a book worth saving.
